Intel e i multicore estremi…

dunque fatemi guardare il calendario … :-| non è il primo di aprile e intel, in occasione dell’intel developer forum, annuncia di avere sperimentato un processore a 80 (OTTANTA) core! un umile processore da 1 triliardo di operazioni al secondo! Il CEO di intel ha dichiarato che processori di questa portata saranno disponibili per la produzione commerciale entro 5 anni. Nota curiosa: gli 80 core riescono a scambiarsi dati con una larghezza di banda di 1 Terabyte al secondo. Vogliono sorpassare la legge di Moore? Come al solito… ne vedremo delle belle :)
